Concert & Event Dates

May 1-5: I will be adjudicating the piano category of the Tunbridge Wells International Music Competition. Info here.
March 19 at 7.30pm: I will be giving a talk about my new book at Toppings Bookshop in Edinburgh.
March 12 at 1pm at Wigmore Hall: A concert to mark the launch of my book, Women and the Piano: A History in 50 Lives. I’ll be playing piano music by some of the women pianist-composers who feature in the book. Info here.
March 9 at 5.30pm – I’ll be playing a solo recital as part of International Women’s Day alumnae celebrations at Murray Edwards College, Cambridge
March 9 at 11.45am – I’ll be interviewed about my new book on Radio 3’s Music Matters programme, hosted by Tom Service
October 26 at 8pm: I’ll be returning to Kettle’s Yard Museum in Cambridge for another solo recital. Programme and ticket information.
September 1-10: I shall be chairing the jury for the Piano Trio section of the 72nd ARD International Munich Competition in Munich, Germany.
September 24-31: I’ll be taking part in Week Three of the Open Chamber Music Seminar in Prussia Cove, Cornwall, with concerts locally at the end of the week.
July 20-23, Cerne Abbas, Dorset: I’ll be taking part in the last-ever summer festival of the Gaudier Ensemble. Concerts from Thursday to Sunday inclusive. Watch the Gaudier website for details of the programme. Don’t miss this last chance to hear this excellent group of musicians playing for their favourite audience in Cerne Abbas.
May 16 at 6pm: Solo recital in St Cecilia’s Hall, Edinburgh. I’ll be featuring music by female pianist-composers and playing a splendid Erard piano from the University’s collection of historic instruments. This concert is in aid of Edinburgh University’s musical instrument collection at St Cecilia’s. Book on Eventbrite.
April 23 at 3pm, New Auditorium of Glasgow Royal Concert Hall: Brahms C major piano trio with principal players of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. (Please note that this concert no longer contains the originally advertised Brahms Horn Trio). Ticket info.
