I’m delighted to announce that my third book, ‘Out of Silence’, will be published by Boydell and Brewer in March 2010. Boydell, who specialise in history books, published my first book,  ‘Beyond the Notes’, in 2004. Since then, they’ve developed a very strong music list and are now a leading independent publisher of books on classical music and performance.

‘Out of Silence – a pianist’s yearbook’ is a diary of a year in my life as a performer. It follows on from my previous books in aiming to give an insight into a performer’s life, this time trying to show how a working musician gathers ideas and inspiration from events around them.
